Entrepreneurship Sessions

Good Soil Academy emphasizes entrepreneurship skills from an early age and equips girls with vital competencies that prepare them for future challenges while promoting social responsibility through social enterprise initiatives.

With weekly sessions focusing on instilling an entrepreneurial spirit, girls are encouraged to explore entrepreneurial ideas, mainly in the context of social enterprise.

Entrepreneurship education has gained significant traction in educational systems worldwide, particularly in fostering innovation, creativity, and critical thinking among students. From an early age, the emphasis on entrepreneurship skills is crucial for developing a mindset that embraces risk-taking, problem-solving, and resilience. Schools that implement weekly sessions focusing on entrepreneurial spirit provide students with the tools necessary to navigate the complexities of the modern economy.

We offer a structured biblically grounded curriculum in Entrepreneurship that was designed and authored by Patrice Tsague of the Nehemiah Project. The first Course, "Principles for the Young Biblical Entrepreneur,"  provides a sound foundation for young students who one day may need to create their own business.  The second course, "Business Practices for the Young Biblical Entrepreneur" prepares our student to one day manage and grow their own business.

Early exposure to entrepreneurship helps students develop essential skills such as leadership, teamwork, communication, and financial literacy. These skills are applicable in business contexts and enhance overall academic performance and personal development.

Skill Development

Schools foster an environment where creativity can flourish by encouraging girls to explore entrepreneurial ideas, especially within a social enterprise. This exploration allows students to think outside the box and develop innovative solutions to societal challenges.

Collaboration with Local Businesses

Partnering with local businesses allows schools to provide real-world insights into entrepreneurship. Guest speakers from the community can share their experiences, inspiring students and imparting practical knowledge.

Assessment and Feedback

Curriculum Integration

We do not only offer special sessions on Entrepresurship but also encourage Good Soil Academy teachers to integrate entrepreneurship into various subjects rather than treating it as a standalone topic. For instance, math classes incorporate budgeting exercises, while language arts classes focus on persuasive writing for business proposals.

Utilizing Technology

Incorporating technology into entrepreneurship education which enhances learning experiences through simulations and online platforms that allow students to create virtual businesses or engage in e-commerce activities.

Regular assessment of student projects and ideas is essential for growth. Providing constructive feedback helps students refine their concepts and understand areas for improvement.

Encouranging Team Projects

Group projects centered on creating social enterprises encourage collaboration among students and allow them to tackle real issues affecting their communities.

Celebrating Successes

Recognizing student achievements in entrepreneurship fosters motivation and encourages continued exploration of entrepreneurial ventures.
